Fourteen-year-old Jonathan Crickmore scored 69 for Ansty III at home to Keymer & Hassocks III, a personal best and completed a hundred runs in the day having scored 31no retired in his morning’s colt match. He helped post 169 all out for Ansty III having been put in. Richard Lillicrap scored a cameo 23 and young Harry Towler scored 18. George Hutchinson was Hassocks’ most successful bowler with 5 for 59 off 16.4 overs. In reply, Ansty’s Tommy Handley ripped through the early order with a spell of 4 for 10 in his opening spell to leave the Keymer side on 27 for 5. Jamie Carter (15) tried to revive things for the visitors, but Jack Anderson (2 for 19) and Peter Fowles (2 for 10) bowled their opposition out for 75 to send Ansty to a 95-run victory with Handley picking up the final wicket to end with figures of 5 for 19.
