ANSTY III v EDENBRIDGE II
Stoner Mid-Sussex League Division 3
(at Whitemans Green)
Toss: Ansty III
Fourteen-year-old Jonathan Crickmore scored his maiden senior half-century in the Stoner League for Ansty III when he made 68. He figured in a useful third wicket stand of 110 with Rory Dormer, who made 35, but Edenbridge II hit back with skipper Bob Langton taking 6 for 22 to dismiss the hosts for 195. In reply, after losing an early wicket, Edenbridge’s Dan Ott and Seb Goodhew (14) put on exactly 100 for the second wicket. Ott went on to score 91 to lead his side towards victory. Peter Fowles (3 for 16) and two wickets apiece for James Abbott and Rory Dormer could not halt their opponents gaining a two-wicket victory with two overs to spare.
