Toss: Won by Ansty II
Ansty II managed only their second win of the season at home to Keymer & Hassocks II, the club they defeated in the away fixture earlier in the year. The home side posted 170 all out with Tom Freeman striking 48, supported by young wicket-keeper Alex Pearce (33) and Chris Barnes, who opened with 20. Alex Brakell and John Grimley took three wickets apiece. In reply, James Nutter, who finished with 3 for 28, took two wickets in the opening over to leave Keymer in trouble. Freeman heaped more problems on Hassocks with 4 for 18 and colt Jonathan Young ripped through the later order with 3 for 22 as the visitors slumped to 55 for 9. A final wicket stand of 75 by Grimley (42) and Brakell (34no) gave Keymer hope, but Nutter returned to claim the last wicket and Hassocks were 130 all out, a deficit of 40 runs.
