Saturday, 23rd June KEYMER & HASSOCKS II v ANSTY II Sussex Invitation 2ND League Division Two (at " Adastra Park" ) Toss: Won by Ansty II League leaders Keymer & Hassocks came unstuck against lowly Ansty as the visitors triumphed for their first win of the season in a low scoring match by 3 wickets. Keymer lost two early wickets before a run had been scored with Tom Freeman (3 for 21) gaining early breakthroughs. Ross Watkins (21), John Poole (27) and Howard Collins (39) staged a recovery before fourteen year-old Jethro Menzies came back to take four wickets in just ten balls to send the home team crashing from 105 for 4 to 106 all out. Ansty's young skipper Henry Fowler took 3 for 24 and Menzies ended up with 4 four 8 off 7 overs. In reply, young Ansty opener Chris Barnes hit 44 and Freeman hit a cameo 18 to lead the visitors to victory with Mezies striking the winning boundary. For Hassocks, Alex Brakell took 3 for 32 and Gary Thomas 2 for 18.
