Saturday, 21st July LINDFIELD II v ANSTY II Sussex Invitation 2nd League Division Two (at Lindfield Common) Toss: Won by Lindfield II Ansty II, once more fielding six youngsters from their youth set up, were put in at Lindfield and were shot out for a lowly 53 with Nick Heater taking 6 for 21. Andy Hadfield (15), Euan Menzies (13) and son Jethro Menzies (10) tried their best to remedy matters, but they lost their last four wickets without adding to the score. Malcolm Page (24no) and Adrian Whear (22no) led Lindfield II to a nine-wicket victory. Josh Menzies was Ansty’s sole wicket-taker. ***It was a family affair for the Menzies’ family with Dad Euan playing alongside his two young sons Josh and Jethro for the first time in senior cricket.
