James Abbott top scored with 26 with " extras" totalling 24. Seventeen maidens were bowled in the innings with Rupert Osborne gaining most success with 3 for 18. In reply, Lindfield made heavy work of such a small target. Spinners Henry Fowler and James Wright took two wickets apiece as Ansty grabbed six wickets before the target was passed.
