Fifteen-year-old Ansty spinner James Wright took personal best Invitation League figures of 8 for 51 as Ram II were dismissed for 176 at West Green in Crawley. Niraj (37) and Mitesh (33) top scored for the home team after being asked to bat by Ansty II skipper Brian Still. Three of Wright’s victims were bowled, but three were as a result of good work by Ansty’s young ‘keeper Alex Pearce, who claimed two smart stumpings and a catch. Ansty were unable to reply when rain forced the match to be abandoned.
