Saturday, 9th June EAST PRESTON II v ANSTY II Sussex Invitation 2nd XI League Division 2 (at Sea Road) Toss: East Preston II Ansty’s young second team missed out on a first victory despite scoring a massive 245 for 7 at East Preston II. Having been put in, Ansty’s Jon Young (32), Euan Menzies (30) and Josh Menzies (23) gave the visitors a useful platform to build a good score. Tom Freeman then hit 59 and young James Wright scored an unbeaten 57 as the pair put on 88 for the sixth wicket. However, East Preston II hit back when it was their turn to bat and passed the Ansty total with six overs to spare. Josh Carter led the way with an unbeaten 66, supported by Jack Sunderland, who made 60. Tom Freeman and Josh Menzies took two wickets apiece.
