Ansty II had made 179 with Euan Menzies striking an impressive 57 with colt Chris Barnes supporting him with 35. Dave Gillette was the pick of Crawley’s bowlers with three late wickets for 15. Gillette then starred with the bat to score 54, but support was minimal as Josh Menzies (4 for 19) and colt Jonathan Young (3 for 25) ripped through the batting before the dwindling light caused the game to be abandoned.
