Saturday, 19th May BILLINGSHURST v ANSTY Sussex Invitation League Division 1 (at " Jubilee Fields" ) Toss: Won by Billingshurst Darren Senadhira scored a superb unbeaten 69 at the Jubilee Fields for Ansty after Billingshurst had invited the visitors to bat. The innings helped Ansty post 165 for 6 to recover from 79 for 5. Youngster Leo Anderson (20) and David Croydon (15) put on 45 for the opening wicket, but both fell within a couple of overs. Kevin Russell took 3 for 37 for the hosts, but a 68-run partnership between Senadhira and Simon Parsons (14) offered Ansty hope. An injury to main strike bowler Barry Crouch hampered Ansty’s ambitions in securing a victory which enabled Billingshurst skipper Mike Burroughs (52) and Will Gooda (51) to lead the 2005 champions to clinch a 5-wicket victory with just 2.2 overs to spare. Ansty skipper Shaun Janman took 3 for 69 of 17.4 overs.
