Saturday, 18th August ANSTY v HENFIELD Sussex Invitation League Division One (at " The Poplars" ) Toss: Ansty Ansty scored 175 all out after electing to bat first. They cruised to 85 for 1 with David Croydon (36) and Darren Senadhira (40) looking in fine form, but Ansty lost four wickets for just 5 runs as Henfield’s Michael Warden ripped through the innings. The visiting overseas player Paul Cree was also heavily involved taking two wickets, a direct hit run-out and holding onto three good catches. Cameo knocks of 23 from Neil Machin and 21 from Simon Parsons helped Ansty reach 175. Warden finished with 5 for 51 off 15 overs. The tea interval brought the rain and the match was abandoned as a draw with Henfield unable to bat.
