Toss: Won by Ansty
Ansty recorded their second win of the season at Henfield and moved three places up the table as a result. They owed their success to a superb knock by their debutant Rajkumar Pakkianathan who scored 111no which included 3 sixes and 16 fours off just 98 balls. David Croydon (17), Leo Anderson (22) and Darren Senadhira (36) started the innings well but a partnership between Pakkianathan and Jamie Newsome (14) of 62 set Ansty up for a good score. Simon Parsons made 21 before the visitors declared on 233 for 8. For Henfield, Rob Slaughter took 3 for 57. In their reply, the home side lost early wickets as Neil Machin (3 for 18) ripped through the top order. Henfield settled for a draw as they slumped to 48 for 5. Paul Cree (34) and Slaughter (35) offered hope, but Ansty kept plugging away with skipper Shaun Janman (3 for 26) taking the last wicket of Slaughter with just two balls remaining in the match to dismiss Henfield for 122, a loss by those 111 runs that Rajkumar Pakkianathan had scored!
