Saturday, 12th May ANSTY v IFIELD Sussex Invitation League Division 1 (at " The Poplars" ) Toss: Ansty Ansty got off to a disappointing start in the Invitation League at home to Ifield, losing by 104 runs. The visitors posted 196 for 8 with Sohail Shah leading the way with 51. He received support from his brother Rahit Shah (41no) and Rehan (34). For Ansty, skipper Shaun Janman took 3 for 44 and Barry Crouch claimed 2 for 48. In reply, the home side started slowly but looked assured until Ifield skipper Matt Robinson introduced himself to the attack. Ansty collapsed from 52 for 1 to 62 for 5 with Robinson ripping through the middle order. Only sixteen-year-old Leo Anderson stood firm with a battling 41. Robinson finished with 4 for 22 as Ansty, holding out for a draw, were dismissed for 92, with three balls remaining.
