Saturday, 9th June ANSTY v MIDDLETON Sussex Invitation League Division 1 (at " The Poplars" ) Toss: Won by Ansty Ansty were defeated by the league leaders Middleton by 7 wickets after being dismissed for just 151. David Croydon (39) and Julius Kiruba (28) had put on 47 for the second wicket and Paul Osborn hit an unbeaten 41 to keep Ansty hopeful of a big score. However, Gary Longhurst claimed 3 for 37 as Ansty lost five wickets for just 29 runs when the middle order collapsed. The home tail wagged with skipper Shaun Janman hitting 13, but Mark Hansford took 3 for 18 to put Middleton in a strong position.
