Toss: won by Ansty
Playing up a year against a strong a team as Brighton and Hove was never going to be easy but provided an opportunity for the Ansty players to apply themselves. The top order, and Rory Dormer (21) in particular, did just this but were skittled out by some good swing bowling. The lower order reverted to slogging which on this occasion paid off to some extent with Andrew Bennett (16 not out) and Sam Windham (13) helping the score reach 69 for 7 off their 20 overs. In reply Jonathan Young and Alex Borley tested the opening batsmen but never managed the breakthrough and the home side cantered home to win by ten wickets in just over ten overs.
