Thursday 21st June  2007 St Matthias II v Ansty U16 SAYCL League (at Braypool, Patcham) Toss won by Ansty Ansty, batting first, found the going tough on an unpredictable Braypool pitch with only Jonathan Crickmore (23) and Rory Dormer (12) getting into double figures. Sean Lewis (4 for 6), exploiting the conditions well, was the pick of the Matthias bowlers. In the event, Ansty’s total of 66 all out proved more than sufficient as a fine all round bowling performance skittled St Matthias for 57. Andrew Bennett, Jack Harvey and Connor Fitzpatrick bagged three wickets each to take Ansty to a 9 run win. Lewis (18) top scored for the home side.
