Sunday, 6th May 2007 ANSTY V BILLINGSHURST Identilam League U16 (at The Poplars Ansty) Toss: Won by Billingshurst Ansty opened their season against Billingshurst in the Identilam under 16 league. After winning the toss Billingshurst batted first. They scored at a good rate in the early overs with runs from Hawkins31 and Lowther 23 but the Ansty bowlers came back restricting the Billingshurst total to 95. The wicket takers for Ansty were Jonathon Young 3 for 5 runs, James Thorpe 2, Chris Barnes 2, James Wright 2, and Jack Anderson 1. The Ansty batsmen never got into their stride against some good Billingshurst bowling with only Leo Anderson reaching double figures with 29 runs.
