Thursday 3rd May 2007 Preston Nomads v Ansty U16 SAYCL League (at Fulking) Toss: Won by Preston Nomads Electing to bat first the home team got off to a blistering start with Michael Chapman reaching 26 in just the third over. Josh Levine (20) and James Chapman (27 retired) kept the runs coming at a reasonable rate despite a couple of wickets for captain Chris Barnes. Two direct hit run outs kept Ansty in the game although the final total of 128 was always going to be a formidable one to chase. Leo Anderson (29 no) and Barnes (13) set off at a good rate and when the spinners came on Jonathan Crickmore swept his way to a rapid 19. Unfortunately the middle and lower order were not able to maintain any momentum and the visitors ended up nine wickets down and 36 runs short.
