Horsham v Ansty
ECB U15 Cup Final
at The Blackstone Ground
Toss: Won by Ansty
Batting first, Ansty’s openers, Rory Dormer (15) and James Wright (27) found the going hard against some excellent bowling by Horsham’s Devon Endersby and Alex Lowther. Horsham’s support bowlers performed nearly as tightly and both Dormer and Wright fell trying to force the pace. Ansty’s middle order chipped in with some runs under pressure but the eventual total of 84 for 6 never looked enough against an exceptionally powerful Horsham batting line up. So it proved as Endersby swept to a magnificent half century taking Horsham to victory with seven overs to spare. The sole wicket to fall deservedly went to James Pearce who was the pick of Ansty’s attack .with 4-1-16-1.
