Toss: Won by St James
St James won the toss and decided to bat. Their runs came very slowly and by the twelfth over they had only scored 34 for the loss of 2 wickets. This was due to some very tight bowling by Jethro Menzis and Ali Chisholm. However the coming together of J Stone and J Glover saw the run rate accelerate and saw 76 runs coming off the last 8 overs. Ansty went into bat and lost their first 3 wickets for only 14 runs. Ali Chisholm went on to score 30 before retiring and finished his knock with a great ’6’. Harry Bannister scored 10 (not out) but Ansty’s runs dried up and they finished on 91 for 7.
