Toss: Won by West Chiltington
West Chiltington won the toss and Ansty were put into bat on a very bright morning. The openers got away to a good start and had put 20 runs on by the end of the third over.
Ansty continued to score at the same quick pace and by the 8th over with 58 runs on the board, Johnny Crickmore retired on 25 followed quickly by James Smethurst retiring on 27.The runs continued to come quickly and Ansty finished their innings on 141 for 5.
When West Chiltington went into bat they scored 3 runs without loss and then disaster hit and they lost 5 very quick wickets without a further run being added. By the end of the 4th over they had 6 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets. The two destroyers were Jethro Menzies having 2 for 3 after just 2 overs. Ali Chisholm, bowling, from the other end, also recording figures of 2 for 3. West Chiltington made a good attempt to recover, with Will Chambers scoring 26 before retiring. However, Ansty kept the runs in check, picking up a further 3 wickets in the process and finished easy winners by 65 runs.
