Saturday 21st June 2007 St James Montefiore v Ansty U13 SAYCL Toss: Won by St James Ansty lost the toss & St James decided to bat first. Alex Bennett & Sam Simmons opened the bowling for Ansty. Ansty got off to a fantastic start with a wicket for Bennett in the first over. Simmons bowled tightly & was rewarded with a wicket with his last ball. The next St James wicket fell to Sofie Cawley. Jack Palser took 2 wickets & Gooding 1 wicket. St James scored 98. Ansty started well with Jack Palser opening with a 4. However Ansty lost 2 quick wickets for only 10. Fortunately Sofie Cawley soon got Ansty’s heads up retiring on 25. Ansty lost a couple more wickets but Simmons (16 not out) & Bennett (22not out) formed the winning partnership.
