Tuesday June 12th  2007 Ansty U11 v Newick U11 Under 11 NMS League (at Staplefield) On a pleasant evening, Ansty won the toss and chose to bat.   The Newick bowling attack strove hard but generally had difficulty keeping their line.   Against this all the batsmen contributed but the highlights were a straight six from Dylan Howell and a dynamic knock at the death of 31 from Will Glenn. The Ansty score of 304 was always going to be challenging and the Newick innings in reply never really got going in the face of some excellent bowling and fielding from Ansty.   Jake Wilson (2 wkts for 10 runs), Jim Minall (2 for 3) and Will Wright (2 for 5) all had figures to be proud of, but the star performance was from Ben Hewitt (4 for 5) who also took a superb catch low down and behind him to his right. For Newick, Duff headed the scoring with a very creditable 12 but it was not enough to avoid a defeat by 103 runs, with the visitors closing on 201. Ansty won by 103 runs
