Tuesday May 8th 2007 Ansty U11 v Cuckfield  U11 U11 NMS League (At Staplefield)  Ansty Under 11s lost their first NMS League game against a well organised Cuckfield side. Batting first, Cuckfield started slowly but increased the tempo in the middle of their innings with some strong hitting to reach an impressive total of 298-5. The wicket-takers for the home side were Dan Gardner, Todd Haufek, Tim Riley and captain Liam Fitzpatrick with one apiece, and catches were taken by Gardner, Will Wright and keeper Ben Hewitt. Wright then got Ansty off to an excellent start with a crisply-struck 20 not out, but the later batsman couldn’t continue the momentum against some tight bowling in fast-fading light. Gardner with 12 and Jake Feltham with 14 tried their best, but in near darkness Ansty finished on a total of 218 for the loss of 14 wickets. Ansty lost by 80runs
