Toss: Won by Ansty III
Fifteen-year-old Ben Towler (49) and Llewelyn Boshoff (35) gave Ansty III a good start and debutants 13-year-olds Alex Borley (25) and William Bennett (21) helped the home side to 178 all out and maximum batting points in their League fixture with Ardingly. Three wickets apiece fell to Tim Swanepool and Dave Port. In reply, Ardingly passed the target with little difficulty to win by 8 wickets. Jon Benstead (46), Nick May (41no) and former Ansty colt Greg Dagger (35no) ensured victory, but nothing could be taken away from 11-year-old Alex Bennett who took his first senior wicket when his first ball bowled Port for 19.
