Saturday, 3rd June CRAWLEY DOWN II v ANSTY III Stoner Mid-Sussex League Division 3 (at Warden Park) Toss: Won by Crawley Down II Ansty 3rd XI, meeting Crawley Down II for the second successive week following their cup defeat last Saturday, were just two wickets away from avenging that defeat as the visitors passed the modest Ansty target of of 135 for 6 with 10 balls to spare. Young Aiden Janman notched a personal best 35, whilst he received support from Simon Finch (23), Jonathan Young (22no), Ben Towler (22) and a battling 13 from David Young. In reply, fourteen-year-olds Chris Barnes and Jonathan Young took two wickets apiece, but visiting opener Mike Bentley (37), Kevin Hawkins (22) and John Mears (17) led Down towards their two-wicket success.
