Saturday, 20th May GORING II v ANSTY II Sussex Invitation 2nd XI League Division 1 (at " Goring Rec" ) Toss: Won by Ansty II Ansty 2nd XI gained their first win of the season with a 5-wicket victory at Goring with 14 overs to spare. Fifteen-year-old Ross Chisholm was Ansty’s star with the bat, hitting an unbeaten 86 to lead his side home. Tom Freeman (35) and skipper David Hawke (15) helped Chisholm with useful partnerships to reach Goring’s total of 153 for 9. Earlier, Barry Crouch (3 for 36) and two wickets each for Tom Freeman and Andy Mott had helped restrict the home side to post a larger total. Some excellent fielding, and three dismissals by Ansty ‘keeper Alex Janjua had Goring in trouble and it was left to Wooley to offer hope for the hosts with a battling 48.
