Toss: Won by Keymer & Hassocks II
Ansty II were defeated at home to Keymer & Hassocks II in their basement battle and the result has condemned Ansty II to Division Two cricket next season. Ansty, having been put in, collapsed to 38 for 4, but two fifteen-year-olds Jamie Newsome (44) and Joe Hallam (a senior maiden 52), helped their club recover to 166 all out. Gary Thomas took 4 for 30 for Hassocks, who in turn had Alex Brakell (40) and Mike Poole (33) put on 97 for the second wicket after losing a wicket in the third over. Henry Fowler and James Nutter took 2 wickets apiece, but Keymer edged past the target with four wickets standing with 2.2 overs remaining.
