Ansty II came away from Billingshurst with a creditable draw, surviving the last five balls of the match with nine wickets down. The home side had racked up 234 for 9 with Ollie Woodward smashing 103. He featured in a third wicket partnership of 151 with Anthony Smith (58) after they had been reduced to 12 for 2. Four wickets apiece from Barry Crouch and Alex Janjua ensured Ansty picked up bowling points. In reply, despite losing skipper David Hawke first ball, Ansty reached 191 for 9 with wicketkeepers Leo Anderson, aged 15, scoring a superb 67, and John vesey making 55 as the pair put on 101 for their third wicket. James Nutter hit 25 to offer support at number eight.
