Toss: Won by Pagham II
Ansty II were defeated at Pagham II by 5 wickets in their battle to avoid relegation. Fifteen-year-old Alex Pearce scored a maiden 55no for Ansty as he rescued his club from 27 for 4. It came at a cost as he ran out his father Ian (15) in a bid to push the score along. He featured in a 53-run partnership with Henry Fowler (27), but three wickets for John Cotterill early on and three for skipper Stuart Rutter reduced Ansty to 138 all out. The visiting skipper, Andy Mott (3 for 29) dismissed the first three Pagham batters, but Rutter ensured victory with an unbeaten 61, whilst Mark Woolnough offered support with 29. Fowler (2 for 39) took 2 wickets in an over to offer the visitors hope.
