ANSTY v ARUNDEL
Sussex Invitation League Division 1
(at " The Poplars" )

Toss: Won by Arundel

Fifteen-year-old James Thorpe of Ansty had Arundel in all sorts of trouble in his second spell as he helped reduce the visitors from 85 for 2 to 97 for 7 with a devastating five-over spell of fast bowling to finish with figures of 5 for 16 off ten overs. Simon Parsons (2 for 14) and James Nutter (2 for 35) helped finish the job as Arundel was dismissed for 124 with Graham Braithwaite scoring 45. Despite a bright start from David Croydon (23), Ansty fared no better against Arundel’s Australian pace bowler Corey Hand as he took 5 for 39 to help dismiss the hosts for 75 Gordon Costick took 3 for 21.
