Saturday, 3rd June ANSTY v HENFIELD Sussex Invitation League Division 1 (at " The Poplars" ) Toss: Ansty Henfield’s Graham Fuller took personal league best figures of 8 for 29 to help skittle Ansty all out for 167 to clinch a 68-run victory for the visiting side. Earlier, Henfield posted 235 for 4 having been put in with skipper Kevin Thorns (65no), Rob Slaughter (63) and Chris Crampton (62) all making half-centuries. Thorns and Slaughter figured in a fourth wicket partnership of 122. Ansty’s Simon Parsons had most success with the ball, taking two wickets. The home side started very strongly and were 97 for 1 with Tom Benham hitting 56 and Darren Senadhira making 31, but Fuller took three wickets in four balls to reduce Ansty to 97 for 4. The home side never recovered from that shock and despite a battling last wicket stand of 36 between James Nutter (14) and Shaun Janman (14no).
