Sunday, 11th June ANSTY v CUCKFIELD Friendly   Ansty were defeated by near neighbours Cuckfield, who fielded a pair of Ansty old boys in former colts Kristian Piolet and James Robinson.   The home team, weakened due to other commitments, found themselves chasing a massive 294 for 7 off 40 overs after Harris (61), Wisdom (66), Patterson (48) and Robinson (42no) had put the home bowlers to the sword.   Myles Machin claimed 3 for 39 and skipper Tom Freeman took two wickets.   In reply, Ansty were never up with the run-rate and wickets fell regularly.   Brian Still (38) and Dan Belfort (30) offered some resistance, but Slinger took 4 for 19 to seal a victory by 147 runs for Cuckfield.
