Seventeen-year-old James Nutter scored his maiden hundred for Ansty against East Brighton, exactly two years after his older brother Chris, now playing in Australia, did likewise in the same fixture. James scored 100no in the 40-over friendly and it included 9 fours and 3 sixes. He helped his side reach 186 for 6 with Brian Still (27) offering support. In reply, East Brighton lost two early wickets to Ansty skipper Tom Freeman (2 for 19), but Barnes (24) offered resistance. Colt Jack Anderson (2 for 20) and James Abbott (3 for 8) put Ansty back in control and the hosts were eventually dismissed for 94, a loss by 92 runs.
