Saturday, 27th August LINDFIELD SWANS v ANSTY III Stoner Mid-Sussex League Division Three (at Hickmans Lane) Toss: Won by Ansty III Colin Mayes hit a splendid 64 for Lindfield Swans against Ansty 3rd XI as they posted 167 for 5 off 47 overs at Hickmans Lane.  Mayes was supported by Mike Newcombe (35no) and Tom Brown (27) before being last out in the final allotted over.  Chris Barnes (on his debut), Joe Hallam, Henry Fowler, Jamie Newsome and skipper Alan Piolet each took the wickets to fall.  In reply, Ansty looked on course for victory with Hallam (34), Fowler (26), Newsome (13) and Llew Boshoff (12) all making useful scores, but an inspired spell by Joe Newcombe (3 for 12) put Ansty on the back foot and settle for a draw at 133 for 7 at the close.
