Saturday, 25th June ANSTY III v PLUMPTON II Stoner Mid-Sussex League " Sally Miller" Trophy 3rd Round (at Whiteman’ s Green) Toss: Won by Plumpton II Ansty’ s " Development Squad" , their 3rd XI, which consisted of 8 under-17s, suffered an eight-wicket defeat in the Quarter-finals of the " Sally Miller" Trophy against Plumpton II, from a division higher. Having been put in, Ansty III were restricted to 149 for 9 off their allotted 40 overs with 14-year-old James Thorpe top scoring with 26. Peter Whear did the damage for the visitors, taking 6 for 28 off his 8 overs. In reply, Plumpton II needed just 30 overs to clinch victory with George Martin (47no), Derek Coltham (33) and Steve Eason (27no) leading them home.
