Ansty 3rd XI were put in by visitors Roffey IV and twelve-year-old Matthew Bidlake took 4 for 30 to help dismiss the home side for 161. Simon Finch (25) and Tom Freeman (23) top scored for Ansty, whilst Jonathan Freeman (19), Llew Boshoff (16), Richard Lillicrap (15), Jamie Newsome (15) and Leo Anderson (13) all made minor contributions. Rain caused the match to be abandoned at tea giving Ansty's keen attack no chance to defend their target.
