Saturday, 9th July ST ANDREWS BEARS v ANSTY III Stoner Mid-Sussex League Division Three (at Berrylands) Toss: Won by Ansty III Ansty 3rd XI gained an impressive 105-run victory away to St Andrews Bears.  Ansty made 203 for 8 declared with Leo Anderson (34), Alan Piolet (33no - his personal best Stoner League score), Henry Fowler (32), Simon Finch (18) and Joe Hallam (18) making useful contributions.  Hallam got off the mark scoring 7!  In reply, three wickets apiece from Alan Piolet (3 for 13), Henry Fowler (3 for 23) and Aqeel Janjua (3 for 35) ripped through the Bears' batting to leave them 98 all out.  Only Nick Dunning (32) and Steve Baugh (22) offered much resistance. *** JOE HALLAM GOT OFF THE MARK v ST ANDREWS BEARS WITH A " 7" .  HE WAS RUNNING HIS THIRD RUN WHEN THE FIELDERS CONTRIVED TO GIVE HIM FOUR MORE WITH AN OVERTHROW!
