Saturday, 6th August ANSTY III v STREAT & WESTMESTON II Stoner Mid-Sussex League Division Three (at Whitemans Green) Toss: Won by Ansty III Ansty 3rd XI made 144 for 9 against a tight Streat & Westmeston II attack. Fourteen-year-old Leo Anderson opening with 36, whilst support came through Henry Fowler (20) and Aqeel Janjua (20). Steve Hancock took three wickets in an over at the end to finish with impressive figures of 4 for 18, whilst veteran " spinner" Stan Spiegel claimed 3 for 43. In reply, Streat ‘ keeper Martin Butcher struck 58 with Colin Marshall (25) and an unbeaten 30 from Callum Tomsett ensured the visitors a 4-wicket victory with 5 overs to spare. Fourteen-year-old Jamie Newsome was Ansty’ s most successful bowler with 3 for 27.
