Fourteen-year-old Ross Chisholm scored a maiden Ansty century for the 3rd XI in their final Stoner League encounter at home to Forest Row which led his club to a superb 5-wicket victory with 6 overs to spare. Ross became the first Ansty player to hit a century in the Stoner League and his 103 was scored in exactly two hours and included 12 fours and a six. His partnership with Simon Finch realised a club record stand for the fifth wicket of 105. Finch made a maiden half-century for the club, his 52no including 8 fours. Earlier, Forest Row amassed 220 all out with Glen Taylor, surviving three dropped catches to make 60, top scoring. Mick Humphrey offered support with 35 and Dave Webb hit 27, but Ansty III, who included ten players in their team aged under 17, hit back when they introduced a spinning attack. Henry Fowler led the way with 4 for 50, whilst his partner took 3 for 37.
