Toss: Won by Arundel
Ansty lost a crucial toss at home to Arundel and were put into bat on a wet wicket. Dan Morgan (55), Alex Janjua (34) and David Croydon (29) made useful scores, but Neil Chitty helped dismiss the lower order, taking 4 for 23, as Ansty loss their last five wickets for just 25 runs. In reply, Arundel started cautiously but tight, accurate Ansty bowling, led by Rob Littlejohns (3 for 30) had their visitors on 49 for 4 giving them hope of victory. However, Arundel skipper Will Clark, survived some scares to post 40 and Mark Rasmussen blasted a quick 32 to lead a rescue act in pouring rain and clinch a three-wicket victory with 8 balls to spare. Ansty’ s Simon Parsons (2 for 49) passed 250 league wickets for the club.
