Toss: Won by Ansty
Ansty’ s Chris Nutter hit a 23-ball fifty to demolish Southwick and lead his club to a second successive victory. The home side were invited to bat first and a high score looked promising with Kevin Funnell (40) and Dan Feniuk (35) tore into the Ansty attack. However, the introduction of Simon Parsons and skipper Shaun Janman put the breaks on and eventually the home side were dismissed for 151 with Parsons taking 5 for 34 and Janman grabbing 3 for 26. In reply, Ansty started swiftly with David Croydon (23) and Darren Senadhira (20), but two Paul Grennan wickets helped reduce the visitors to 68 for 4. When Nutter joined Richard Nichols, the pair put on an unbeaten 85 with Nichols making 28no and Nutter finishing on 56no to clinch a 6-wicket victory in just 22.4 overs. The partnership of 85 took just 33 minutes and Nutter’ s innings included 10 fours and 2 sixes.
