Ansty's Chris Nutter had personal best League bowling figures taking 7 for 37 as last season's champions Findon collapsed from 88 for 0 to 167 all out. Openers Graham Waller (47) and John Rogers (46) had put on 88 in just 12.2 overs before the Nutter brothers broke the partnership. Both openers fell to fine catches on the boundary by Chris's younger brother James. Ansty skipper took 3 for 45 as Findon lost their ten wickets for 79 runs. In reply, Findon skipper Nigel Waller had Ansty in trouble at 28 for 4 and they never fully recovered from this setback. David Croydon offered resistance with a battling 36 and Darren Senadhira made a brisk 13 but it was left to the last pair to salvage some pride as they put on 24 for the final wicket. Janman hit 15 and James Nutter was unbeaten on 10 as Ansty were dismissed for 117, a loss by 50 runs.
