Ansty dismissed relegated Goring for just 98 with Simon Parsons (5 for 42), Barry Crouch (3 for 39) and Alex Janjua (2 for 11) doing the damage in 30.5 overs. Richard Stanley top scored with 26 and Gus McVey rode his luck for a brisk 21. In reply, Anstys David Croydon demolished the home attack, scoring 67 in an opening stand of 87 in just 16.4 overs. His innings lasted under an hour and included 11 fours and a six. Kristian Piolet (15no) saw Ansty home to an eight-wicket victory in the 21st over. The match enable d Ansty to blood two 14-year-olds, Ross Chisholm and Joe Hallam in their side with the latter hitting the winning boundary. Peter Rebera took the two wickets to fall.
