Billingshurst climbed back to the top of the table with a hard-fought 54-run victory over Ansty. Sixteen-year-old James Nutter (4 for 38) and Simon Parsons (4 for 62) had the title contenders in trouble at 50 for 3 and 116 for 5, but Adrian Dudman (55), Will Gooda (42) and Cedric Lynch (37) led 'Hurst to 219 for 9. Ansty started well, putting on an opening stand of 40, but Jason Rigby (3 for 51) and Matt Hoyte (2 for 32) ripped through the early order as Ansty collapsed to 75 for 5, losing three wickets in just six balls. Dan Morgan offered resistance with a battling 37 and youngster Alex Janjua hit 48 to offer Ansty a ray of hope with a partnership of 48 with David Croydon (21) for the 7th wicket, but Shane Maggs (3 for 43) mopped up the tail as Ansty were dismissed for 165.
