Saturday, 6th August IFIELD v ANSTY Sussex Invitation League Division One (at Ifield Green) Toss: Won by Ifield Ansty denied Ifield any ambitions they had of winning the league with a good all round performance at Ifield Green. Having been put in, despite losing Richard Nichols cheaply, they scored freely to make a total of 222 for 7 off 49 overs. Kristian Piolet (49) and Daniel Morgan (97no) batted superbly, putting on a third wicket partnership of 99. Simon Parsons rattled up a quick 23 at the end, whilst Nuwan Fernando took 3 for 42 for the hosts. Rob Littlejohns’ devastating opening spell had Ifield in trouble at 60 for 7, but they held out for a draw on 133 for 8 at the close. Littlejohns took 5 for 51, whilst Simon Parsons grabbed 2 for 11.
