Ansty had no difficulty in defeating a weak Forest Row side on Sunday by 8 wickets. Forest Row totalled just 115 with Martin Britt top scoring with 74, the only visiting batsman to reach double figures. Shaun Janman (3 for 13), Tom Freeman (3 for 20) and Richard Lillicrap (2 for 30) were Ansty's main wicket-takers. In reply, Ansty opened with fourteen-year-old Leo Anderson with veteran Jon Hill and the pair put on 56 for the first wicket. Hill fell for 30 and Anderson went on to score 40 before being dismissed. It was left to James Nutter (15no) to steer Ansty home in the 22nd over. Mason was Forest Rows successful bowler, taking 2 for 17.
