ANSTY III v Forest Row II (at Whitemans Green, 17/07/04)
Toss: Won by Ansty III
Ansty 3rd XI, fielding five colts, made 106 for 9 at Whitemans Green off 47 overs, as they struggled to score runs on an artificial track against Forest Row 2nd XI. Myles Machin (26), Sam Goldsmith (13) and Alan Piolet (12no) made double figures, but top scorer was " extras" with 27. Adam Webb was the pick of Forest Row's bowlers, taking 3 for 16, whilst Jamie Brownlie, Mick Humphrey and skipper Phil Rowe took two apiece. Brownlie then hit an undefeated 38, supported by Graham Rowe's 30 as the visitors triumphed by 6 wickets. Aqeel Janjua took 3 for 30 for Ansty.
