ANSTY II v Storrington II (at "The Poplars", 19/06/04)
Ansty II gained a huge 124-run victory over a weakened Storrington II to collect maximum points. The home side declared after 40 overs having hit 213 for 1 with Richard Pike making his maiden 2nd XI League hundred with 119no. He figured in a club record unbeaten stand of 204 for the second wicket with Mick Nicholas, who made 75no. In reply, Storrington collapsed to 12 for 3 and never fully recovered despite skipper Harrison’s 28. Tom Freeman (3 for 20), Mark Parsons (2 for 4 off 10.2 overs) and Andy Mott (2 for 13) were the main wicket-takers as the visitors finished 89 all out.
