Ansty II, travelling with a weakened team, never really got going at East Preston II and were restricted to 138 for 8 in their 49 overs. Mick Nicholas (35), Tom Freeman (32no) and John Vesey (29) made useful runs, but S Davis took 4 for 21 for the home side. East Preston clinched a 5-wicket win with 5 overs to spare with Williams (30) and L Davis (27no) among the runs. Simon Finch, Tom Freeman, Andy Mott and Mark Parsons all took a wicket apiece.
